Welcome
The focus of my whole life has been the outdoors. It is the essence of myself, of where I live and how I spend my leisure time. Everything I do stems from the desire to experience being outside in nature, whether skiing, kayaking, climbing mountains or simply sleeping under the stars.
Painting has allowed me another way of seeing the natural world - the patterns, reflections, color, and the ever changing light. I am challenged to capture the essence of the place; the emotional and spiritual aspect that lie beneath. By being at peace and in harmony with my surroundings, and myself, I hope to convey an emotional bond between the work of art and the viewer. It seems impossible to capture the elemental beauty of such places, but I anticipate spending the rest of my life trying.”
